Obituary of Helen G. Grosso

Helen G. Grosso, age 81, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Michael A. Grosso, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 in St. Vincent's Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on November 26, 1934, she was the daughter of late George and Susan Gulash and the sister of late George Gulash, Jr. Mrs. Grosso graduated from Harding High School and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. Her three grandsons and dog, Ginger, were the light of her life. As an avid traveler, she visited many countries throughout Europe, Africa and the Americas. While living in California, she was the proud employee of the Capital Group. Mrs. Grosso is survived by two daughters, Cristina S. Grosso and her husband Daniel R. Oros of Richmond, CA, and Laura M. Grosso and her husband Christopher J. Peot of Washington, DC and three grandsons, Nathan, Wesley and Page. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Therese Grosso of Trumbull, Ronald and Mary Grosso of Stratford, Rosemary Obbagy of Waterbury and Nancy Gulash of Huntington, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank not only the Stratford Visiting Nurses but also the doctors and staff at St. Vincent's Hospital for their caregiving. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:30 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Peace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
