Obituary of Larry Lombardo

Larry Lombardo, age 64, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born in Bridgeport on June 15, 1951, he was a son of the late Joseph and Vincenza Marrone Lombardo. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Joseph V. Lombardo. Larry was a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Fairfield and the University of South Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. He was employed at Ivy Biomedical Systems in Branford for many years in which he considered his co-workers his second family. Larry enjoyed traveling with his mother, friends and co-workers. He also enjoyed cooking and looked forward to family Sunday dinners each week. Survivors include his lifelong friend, Mark Cahill of New Haven, two brothers, Vincent Lombardo and his wife Elaine of Stratford, Anthony Lombardo and his wife Donna of Bridgeport, several nephews and nieces, Joseph Lombardo, his wife Janice of Monroe, Larene Paolini, her husband Kenneth of Trumbull, Wendy Lombardo of Milford, Vincent Lombardo, his wife Candice of Trumbull, Tracy Roman, her husband Michael of Stratford, Keith Lombardo, his wife Nicole of Westport, Michelle Lombardo and Anthony J.R. Lombardo of Bridgeport. Additionally, cousins, Maryann Ramik, her husband Dr. Richard Ramik of Trumbull and Richard Lanese, his wife Bonnie of Milford as well as several great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
