Obituary of Eleanor Frouge

Eleanor Capasso Frouge, age 83, of Trumbull, died peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Friday, April 22, 2016. Eleanor was known best as “Mother of Eleven Children”! She was born in Bridgeport and was married to Joseph Frouge, III for 43 years. He passed away in 1993. She was a “27 Year Breast Cancer Survivor” and proud of it!! Affectionately known as Gram – she loved to bake cookies, knit, do crossword puzzles and volunteer to many causes; She read to children, was a school librarian, Cub Scout leader, gave her time to the Kennedy Center, The Dinan Elderly Home, The Mayfair Elderly Home, taught religious CCD, helped feed Quadruplets, she knitted blankets for the elderly, and scarves and hats for the less fortunate to name a few …. She was a member of the Rosary Group at her church and the Cabaret players. Eleanor was predeceased by her mother and father, Anna Quire Capasso and Michael Capasso…her brothers, Anthony Capasso, Harold Capasso and sisters Anna Rollo, Isabelle Capasso and Theresa Kender. She suffered the loss of her two sons- Robert Frouge and Frank Frouge, and her grandson, Joey Frouge. She is survived by her children; Joseph Frouge IV and his wife Debbie of Bethany, Linda Rose and her husband Steve of Shelton, Jo-Ann Ferreri and her husband Frank of Seymour, Carol Moccaie of Milford, Clark Frouge and his wife Sheryl of Ansonia, Cheryl Miller and Jeff Wilchinsky of Derby, Stephen Frouge of Jupiter, Florida, Michael Frouge and his wife Joann of Stratford, and John Frouge and his wife Heather of Brookhaven, PA. Gram was so proud of everyone, of her 23 Grandchildren and made each one of them feel special! Shellie, Tina, Stephanie, Tony, Ricky, Nora, Keith, Gina, Stephen, Thomas, Kelly, Clark, Joey, Scott, Matthew, Jessica, Kassie, Derek, Kara, Bridget, Michael, Hayley and Gianna! She cherished every moment she spent with her 17 great grandchildren. Eleanor was happiest when she was holding a baby or surrounded by her children. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. “In honor of Eleanor, her family requests that you volunteer a few hours or more of your TIME to a charity of your choice-and/or help someone in NEED.”
