Obituary of Albertina Ribas Seara

Albertina Ribas Seara, age 84, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Domingos Ribas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born on February 26, 1942 in Padroso, Montalegre, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Rosa Ribas. Along with her family, she immigrated to the United States in 1972, settling in Bridgeport and was a long-time employee of the former 3 Door Restaurant. She was a simple woman, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; crocheting, tending to her garden, cooking for family and friends and quality time with those she loved. A devout catholic, Albertina was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She read the Bible daily and always said the rosary. Keeping all of her loved ones and those in need in her prayers. The heart of her family, Albertina always put their needs before her own. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The unconditional love she gave and the values she instilled will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years Domingos, survivors include her two loving daughters, Rosa Seara and Isabel Seara, three cherished grandsons, Cesar Larrea, Andrew Murphy and Tomas Nieves Jr., two sisters, Maria das Dores Ribas and Ilda Lavaredas; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased two sisters, Ana Ribas and Maria Augusta Alves and a brother, João Ribas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
