Obituary of Olga Betso
Olga H. Macol Betso, age 79, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late George Betso, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Betso was born in Bridgeport on October 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Attick Macol and was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. She worked as a bookkeeper for Jacobson Realty and the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church for many years, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary and was a former board member.
Survivors include a daughter, Maryanne Nixon and her husband, Ian of Southbury; a son, George M. Betso and his wife, Joy of Milford; six grandchildren, Brendan, Blake and Bryan Nixon and Logan, Korbin and Sienna Betso, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Nicholas Antiochian Church, 5458 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Trisagion services will be held in the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. Donations Information
