Obituary of Janet Marie Nagy

Janet Marie Ianniello Nagy, age 66, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on June 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Josephine Pagliaro Ianniello. Janet was a former employee of Palmero Healthcare. A dedicated parishioner of St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, she was a religious education teacher there for many years. She enjoyed working with children, her many trips to the casino and card games with her family. She enjoyed time spent with her family, friends and her cats. But above all she cherished the time spent with her children and granddaughter. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Nagy of Bridgeport, a son Michael Nagy and his wife Alison of Derby, a beloved granddaughter, Emma Nagy, a brother Joseph W. Ianniello and his wife Peggy of Bridgeport, niece, nephew, and grand nieces and nephew. She also leaves to cherish her memory a large extended family and very close friends. She was predeceased by her former husband, Lou Nagy. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at The Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven and St. Vincents Medical Center for their care and compassion. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
