Obituary of Lionel A. Freitas

U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II Lionel A. Freitas, age 83, of Bridgeport, a retiree of Textron Lycoming, died on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 13, 1922 in Westport, MA, he was a son of the late Gregorio and Marie Andrade Freitas and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Fernanda Freitas, two devoted children, a son, Lee Freitas and his wife Linda of Pottstown, Pa., a daughter, Cecilia Begg and her husband Scott of Stratford, a brother, Henry Freitas, a sister, Sarah Pavelko and a sister in law, Virginia Freitas, all of Florida, three cherished grandchildren Michael and Kimberly Begg and Matthew Freitas, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
