Obituary of Chris J. Orsini

Chris J. Orsini, age 95, of Stratford, beloved husband of Maria Marchetti Orsini, died on Friday, June 10, 2011 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in Minturno, Province of Littorio, Italy on January 5, 1916, he was a son of the late Gerald and Palmarina Lena Vento Orsini. Mr. Orsini was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid New York Yankees fan and a former member of the Stratford Old Timers Association.

In addition to his wife, Maria, survivors include a son, Jerry Orsini and his wife Sharon of Shelton, four grandchildren, Kimberly Cody and her husband James of Stratford, Bonnie Boyle and her husband Tim of Fairfield, Kristy Orsini of Milford and Jennifer Balogh and her husband Nate of Fairfield, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, John and Lawrence DeNaro. 

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
