Obituary of Evelyn Palaia
Resident of Trumbull
Evelyn Pagliaroli Palaia, age 88, of Trumbull, a homemaker and former employee of Anns Newfield Bakery, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 1, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Loreto and Delia DeClemente Pagliaroli. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Russell (Sal) Palaia and a brother, George Pagliaroli. At Holy Rosary Church, she was a member of the choir and the St. Theresa Guild. She was also a member of the St. Catherine and the Holy Rosary Church Seniors, as well as the Trumbull Seniors. Survivors include a son, Ronald Palaia and his wife, Linda of Agawam, MA, a daughter, Donna Vaccarella and her husband, Joseph of Westport, a sister, Jennie Supersano of Trumbull, two granddaughters, Jennifer Lapis and her husband, Brian and Amy Palaia and her husband, Lee Cooper, four great grandchildren, Elias and Thea Cooper and Avery and Zoe Lapis and several devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. The St. Theresa Guild of Holy Rosary Church will pray the Rosary on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Donations Information
