Obituary of Dominic Palladino

July 27, 2013 Dominic Palladino, 82, of Hummelstown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013, surrounded by his family at the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania. Dominic was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He showed abundant devotion to his wife and family. He was a warm and generous person who loved to laugh and joke. Born in Pontelandolfo, Italy, to the late Joseph and Mary Palladino, he lived most of his life in Lawrence, New York and Trumbull, Connecticut. Dominic is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marianne, daughters Michelle Wetherhold, Laura Gagnon, Mary Barrow, son Joseph Palladino, brother John Palladino, sister Carmella Della Camera, and ten loving grandchildren. Dominic was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Hummelstown VFW and the Harrisburg Sons of Italy. Dominic was an accomplished gardener. He loved the outdoors and worked as a land surveyor for many years until he retired in 2001. He loved to travel and took over 30 trips with his wife in his lifetime. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially baseball. He also enjoyed Italian music and reading. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 am at St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
