Obituary of James L. Pavia

James L. Pavia, Jr., age 69, of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in St. Vincents Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on March 25, 1944, he was the son of the late James L. Pavia Sr. and Florence Voccola Pavia. Jim was a purchasing agent for Remington Arms for many years and had also served on the Personal Appeals Board in Trumbull for a time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as coaching baseball and soccer and was a true Giant fan to the end. Survivors include a son, Matthew Pavia of Trumbull, a sister, Gail Bokine of Trumbull, nieces, Michele Derbyshire and her husband George of Ansonia and Susan Jacozzi and her husband Christopher of Newtown, two nephews, Creighton Bokine of Trumbull and Scott Bokine and his wife Christine of Monroe and great nieces and nephews, Michael, Emily, Adam, Melissa, Patrick, Trevor and Cailey. Other survivors included his very close friends Patricia Pavia, Arthur and MaryEllen Capozzi and Nancy Firooznia. Funeral Information All funeral services were held privately at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
