Obituary of Clara Petitte

Clara (Kate) Petitte, age 103, of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Ludlowe Health Care Center in Fairfield surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Petitte who had passed in 1984. Born and raised in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, on February 6, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Alfonso and Immaculata (Mary) Colonnese Forte. For a time she had worked at the Ritz Ballroom of Black Rock and later was employed by the Bassick Company. Kate loved to socialize with her friends and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by three brothers, Michael, Alfonso and Edward Forte, a sister, Catherine Forte Pezzullo. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the rehab and 4th floor staff at the Ludlowe Health Care Center of Fairfield, for their care and compassion. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
