Obituary of Rocco James Bonavita

Rocco James Bonavita, age 30, of Bridgeport died on Sunday, December 19, 2010 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1980, he was the son of Louis and Donna Ciarcia Bonavita. Rocco was a devoted son, brother, fiance, uncle, and godfather. He loved his family and friends more than anything. He could light up a room with his smile. He was a loyal Yankee, Giants and Lakers fan. Rocco was very much looking forward to his upcoming wedding in February. In addition to his parents he leaves his fiancee Melissa Marie Bellino, his maternal grandmother Marie Lavalette Ciarcia, his paternal grandmother Agnes Novatko Bonavita, a sister Melissa Pignataro and her husband Umberto, all of Bridgeport, a half sister, Leah Canale and her husband Peter of New York, and six nieces and nephews, his godchild Mia Liana Pignataro, and Isabella Pignataro, Patrick, Angelina, Andrew and Marisa Canale. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased his maternal grandfather James Ciarcia and his paternal grandfather Rocco Ugo Bonavita. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadow Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
