Obituary of Alice C. Rebeta
Alice C. (Belock) Rebeta, age 92, formerly of Trumbull, wife of the late James G. Rebeta, died on Saturday, April 25, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Born in Cleveland OH, on January 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Julia Rogalski Belock. A prior resident of Huntington and Trumbull, CT and Rye, NY, she was long active in various church organizations and those serving the mentally challenged. For several years, she was president of the Auxiliary of Parents and Friends of Retarded Citizens, now The Kennedy Center in Bridgeport. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a daughter Theresa M. Rebeta and two brothers, Bernard W. and Joseph D. Belock. Survivors include two sons, Rev. James L. Rebeta of New York, NY and Robert M. Rebeta and his wife Cheryl of Bridgewater, NJ, a daughter Margaret M. Rebeta of Bridgeport, and three grandchildren, Stephanie N. Rebeta, Carl-James Rebeta and Bryson T. Rebeta. Funeral Information
Her funeral will include a vigil service on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Huntington, CT. Private entombment will be in St. Mary-Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information
