Obituary of Lucy B. Rizzo

Lucy B. Scinto Rizzo, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Salvatore P. Rizzo, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on September 28, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mamie Scarduzio Scinto. She was a graduate of Harding High School and the St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1950. She was a nurse and floor supervisor at the Jewish Home for the Elderly before her retirement. In addition to Salvatore, her husband of 61 years, survivors include two sons, Paul M. Rizzo and his wife Karen of Monroe and Mark Rizzo and Stacy Bombero of Brookfield, a daughter, Rosemarie Pekar and her husband John of Bridgeport, a brother, Peter Scinto of Shelton, a sister, Laura DAndrea of Shelton, eight grandchildren, Peter, Lara, Daniel, Kristin, Michelle and Julie Rizzo and Matthew and Laura Pekar, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Elvina DAusilio. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
