Obituary of Peter C. Romano

Peter C. Romano, age 85, of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Yolanda Puglisi Romano. Born in Bridgeport on October 9, 1927, he was a son of the late George and Margaret Guccione Romano. Peter had been employed by Sikorsky Aircraft as a foreman in the Overhaul and Repair Department before his retirement with 43 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, Giants and UConn Huskies. He also loved to make wine and thoroughly enjoyed his wifes cooking. He was most fortunate however to have had 24 years to enjoy his retirement with his beloved family and cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife of 57 years, other survivors include his children, Thomas G. Romano and his wife Deborah of Stratford, Peter J. Romano and his wife Gail of Milford and George T. Romano of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, Lii, Peter, Erica, Nicky and Gia, three great grandchildren, Isabella, Adrianna and Avery and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas S. Romano and John C. Romano. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bridgeport Hospital as well as Vitas Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 9:00 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
