Obituary of Domenico Savo

Resident of Bridgeport Domenico Savo, age 86, of Bridgeport, a retired construction worker, died on Friday, March 31, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Frosinone, Italy on November 11, 1919, he was a son of the late Angelo and Loretta Savo. A resident of Bridgeport for 50 years, Mr. Savo enjoyed gardening and winemaking. He was a member of the Connecticut Laborers Union. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carmela Gironi Savo, two daughters, Angela Savo of California and Mary Williams and her husband, Wallace of Easton, three granddaughters, Theresa Marie Williams, Katherine Ann Williams and Christina Elizabeth Williams, a sister, Felicia Iorio of Bridgeport and three nieces. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Vincent and Nazareno Savo and one sister, Francisca Savo, all of Italy. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Pilgrimage Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
