Obituary of Josephine C. Schopp

Longtime resident of Bridgeport and Clinton SCHOPP Josephine C. Falco Schopp, age 85, of West Springfield, MA, beloved wife of the late Anthony (Jack) Schopp, died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. Born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna Bonitatibus Falco and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport before moving to Clinton in 2000. Josephine was a retired clerk for the State of Connecticut Superior Court. She will be remembered as a caring, loving and generous person to all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a daughter, Deborah Raucci and two sisters, Lena Baldino and Anne Montanaro. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Thoma and her husband Thomas of West Springfield, MA, five grandchildren, Jillian Bedell and her husband Malcolm, Christine Raucci, Amy Childs and her husband Andrew, Candice Houley and Ashley Thoma, two great granddaughters, Lily and Emma Childs as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
