Obituary of Louis R. Sereno

Louis R. Sereno Jr., age 52 of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away suddenly August 19, 2009 in South Seminole County Hospital, Longwood, Florida. He was born on August 11, 1957 in Bridgeport and grew up in Trumbull.

Louis attended Trumbull schools and graduated from Milford Academy in Milford, then attended Curry College in Massachusetts. He also attended Military School in Virginia. Louis was employed by the University of Central Florida. He was loved and admired by everyone who knew and worked with him. Louis was an usher at St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs Florida. He was also an active 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus with Bishop Grady Council 5618 in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

He is survived by his parents, Louis R. and Phyllis A. (Montanaro) Sereno Sr. of Shelton and his brother Michael P. Sereno also of Shelton as well as his uncle Michael Montanaro Sr. and his wife Emily of Easton. He is predeceased by his aunt Delia (Montanaro) Manjoney, and survived by her husband Dr. Vincent Manjoney Sr. of Trumbull; aunt Charlotte Kaczanowski and her husband Chester of Trumbull; aunt Janet Marella and her husband Leonard of Canoga Park, California; uncle Charles Montanaro and wife Janet of Easton and aunt Evelyn (Sereno) Haydu of Trumbull as well as many loving cousins all over the country and Europe. He was predeceased by his sister Lori Anne Sereno and by his paternal grandparents, Pasquale and Lena (Lucia) Sereno and maternal grandparents, Charles and Delia (Alteri) Montanaro Sr. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice in his memory.
