Obituary of Filomena C. Serra

Dedicated Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Filomena C. Ramos Serra, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Manuel Serra, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born on December 18, 1923, in Sao Pedro de Agostem, Chaves, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Maria De Conceicao Ramos. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. Survivors include two loving sons, Deacon Gabriel A. Pereira of Shelton and Nuno Pereira and his wife Maria Fatima of Trumbull, three cherished grandchildren, Nuno Jr., Danny and Stefanie, two adored great grandchildren, Joseph and Bella, a sister Isaltina Ramos of Philadelphia as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Tina Pereira. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 3-6 p.m.
