Obituary of Pauline Alexay

Paula Genova Alexay, age 71, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Andrew E. Alexay Jr., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on September 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Palma Scrivani Genova. She was the retired co-owner of Colonial Instruments of Bridgeport and also was an administrative assistant for both the West End Lumber Co. and Allied Elevator Co. In addition to her husband Andy, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Salvatore Genova. Survivors include three stepchildren, Frances Rizzo of Greenville, SC, Christopher Alexay of Keene, NH, and Andrea Gorman of Los Altos, CA, a sister-in-law, Carol Genova of Georgia, three aunts, Mary Grabowksi of Bridgeport, Frieda Genova of Trumbull, Gina Genova of Bridgeport, an uncle, Peter Scrivani of Easton as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and special cousins including the Grabowski, Scrivani and Genova Families. She is also survived by a special friend Viola Salvagno. The family would like to extend heartfelt special thanks to Margaret for her devoted care. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
