Obituary of Irene M. Simalchik

Resident of Trumbull Irene Swatt Simalchik, age 82, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Joseph Simalchik, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on March 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Molner Swatt. Irene served as Tax Collector for the Town of Trumbull for over 20 years before her retirement. She also enjoyed her role as a Justice of the Peace. She was past president of the Trumbull Democratic Womens Club and a member of the St. Theresa Seniors and Trumbull Senior Center. In addition to Joseph, her beloved husband of 63 years, survivors include two daughters, Carol Bajoros and her husband Robert of Trumbull and Diane Simalchik of Norwalk and two grandchildren, Robert Bajoros and Jessica Bajoros as well as many nieces and nephews She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Swatt. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
