Obituary of Carolyn LaGaipa Gentile

Carolyn LaGaipa Gentile, age 78, of Wilton passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Norwalk Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Carberry Baratta. Carolyn spent many years as a cruise specialist and found great enjoyment traveling the world with family and friends. Her infectious laugh and vivacious spirit will live on within all of us forever. Survived by her beloved children, Michael LaGaipa and his wife Julie Rose of Orlando, FL, Paul LaGaipa and his wife Sharon of Easton, and Julie Granata of Monroe; her dear sister, Diane McNeil and her husband Roderick III of Easton; five cherished grandchildren, Michael, Drew, Grant, Deionisio and Dominique, as well as her caregivers Momma Jean Thompson, Lisa White, Marie Domond and Mercilyn Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT 06611 and at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
