Obituary of Paul R. Tantimonico

Paul R. Tantimonico Sr., age 70, of Milford, beloved and devoted husband of Janice Steimer Tantimonico, went to heaven surrounded by family on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Born in Bridgeport on February 4, 1943, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary Yoney Tantimonico. A United States Army veteran, Mr. Tantimonico was a retired Police Officer for the City of Stamford with 24 years of service. He had a passion for Elvis Presleys music and was also a New York Yankees fan. He was a wonderful husband (Pooh), father, Papa and Big Papa. In addition to his wife Janice, survivors include his children, Dawn Cowell of Shelton, Barbara Farrar and her husband Steven of Pennsylvania, Anthony Tantimonico of Pennsylvania, Paul Tantimonico Jr. and Ann DAgostino of Trumbull, Paula Tantimonico of Bridgeport, Tracey Tantimonico of Derby and Tammy Seyal of Pennsylvania, a brother, Joseph Tantimonico and his wife Theresa of Huntington and a sister, Barbara Homa Tantimonico of Derby, 26 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Lucy-Lu. Friends are invited to attend Funeral services that will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford for a celebration of his life and Mass of Christian Burial.
