Obituary of Edward A. Teixeira

Edward Anthony Teixeira, ("Tex") age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Bella Marie Jardin Teixeira, died peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013. Born in Lawrence, MA on June 13, 1925, he was a son of the late Jose and Maria Vieira Teixeira. A resident of Bridgeport, CT for 69 years, he resided with his daughter in Port Tabacco, MD for the last two years. Mr. Teixeira was a retired technician for Sikorsky Aircraft. He served bravely as a Marine in the South Pacific during WWll. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who cared very much for his family. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include three children, David Teixeira and his wife Maureen of Bangor, Maine, Dennis Teixeira and his wife Linda of Avon and Sandra Ribeiro and her husband Albert of Port Tobacco, Maryland, eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michelle, Amy, David, Eric, Nadine, Steven, Antonio, four great grandchildren, Jordan, Katlyn, Cora and Easton; a brother, Joseph Teixeira of California and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Paul Ribeiro. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 23 from 4:00-8:00 pm.
