Obituary of Richard J. Tiano

Richard J. Tiano, age 72, of Hamden, CT peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Vincents Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Bertha Tiano. Richard was born in Derby, CT, a son of the late Rae and John Tiano. He was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, CT until recently moving to Hamden. Richard was a great guy, smart, quiet and had a killer smile. He liked to fish and hang out with his friends at the garage, loved animals and big band music, especially Glen Miller. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Tiano of Hamden, brothers, Robert Tiano of Milford and Gerald and Patty Tiano of Delaware. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Julia and Chris Matthews of Simi Valley, CA and Warren and Janet Peet of Wellton, AZ, an uncle, Pat Conte of Brooklyn, NY, an aunt, Yolanda Mancinelli of Asheville, NC, and aunt and uncle, Lucy and Mike Stoverchy of Bellingham, MA. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a much loved cat, Jettsie. Funeral Information There will be no calling hours and services will be held privately.
