Obituary of Paul J. Turek

Paul J. Turek, Jr., age 88, of Stratford, a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, died on Monday, January 8, 2007 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 16, 1918, he was a son of the late Paul and Susie Valus Turek Sr. and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Paul was a cherished, devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was loved, respected and admired by everyone who had the pleasure to know him and will be greatly missed. He was also an avid Jets and Mets fan.

He was pre-deceased by his wife of 28 years, Jean Cutrufello Turek, three brothers, John, Joseph and Michael Turek and a sister Ceil Walkowsky.

Survivors include a daughter, Susanne Navarette and her fiance Stephen Hermann, a grandson Dale Navarette, a sister Ann Spodnick as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations Information
