Obituary of Ruth E. Giannettino
Ruth E. Scinto Giannettino, age 63, of Huntington, died peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2005, at her residence after a long and courageous with cancer with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on July 16, 1942, she was a daughter of the late John and Fannie Lepone Scinto. Mrs. Giannettino graduated from Bullard Havens Vocational Technical School in 1960, where she was proud to be the first female class president. She was a retired employee of Rapid Purge and also enjoyed teaching fashion design at Bullard Havens. Mrs. Giannettino was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be sadly missed.
She was pre-deceased by her step father Richard Krom, a brother Leonard Scinto and a sister Gloria Thompson.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Andrew Giannettino, a loving daughter, Janet Petrucciano and her husband Raymond of Huntington, a brother Ralph Scinto and his wife Mary of Trumbull, a sister Ann Scinto of Shelton, aunts Janet Maloney, Theresa Corsano and Connie Toupin all of Shelton, two cherished grandchildren Mitchell and Rachel and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
