Obituary of Caroline M. Vertucci

Resident of Bridgeport Caroline M. Vertucci, age 79, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on March 13, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Nicolas Vertucci and Elizabeth Tamas Vertucci. Caroline worked for many years at the Ella Grasso Regional Center for the mentally retarded in Stratford before retiring. Caroline enjoyed cooking for family and friends and making sure everyone was fed. Holidays were special, especially her beautiful Christmas village that family and friends looked forward to each year. She loved life, had a great sense of humor and never got old. Caroline is survived by her loving family, her daughter Elizabeth Ouellette and her husband Frank of Norwalk, she was devoted to her two grandsons, Dana and Brett Ouellette, also of Norwalk, a special cousin, William Riccio of Bridgeport, who lovingly cared for her. She is also survived by a sister Virginia Nyhoff and her husband Dr. Rudolph Nyhoff of Delaware, two brothers, Nicholas Vertucci and his wife Dolores of Trumbull and Raymond Vertucci of Bridgeport, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her great great nephew Sean Ryan Finn who gave her so much joy in her later years. She also loved her cat Tommy. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
