Obituary of Mary Rose Giannino

Mary Rose Golger Giannino, age 93, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Richard J. Giannino, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 16, 1920 she was a daughter of the late John and Rose Farrell Golger. Mary was a Girl Scout leader for many years and a daily communicant at St. Theresa Church where she was involved with the Confraternity of the Rosary and the Children of Mary at St. Ann Church in Black Rock. Survivors include her four loving children, Mary Ellen (Mimi) Giannino of Trumbull, Teresa (Teri) Gumkowski and her husband Charles of Westport, MA, Richard J. Gianinno and his wife Ellen of Monroe, Donald J. Giannino and his wife Gail of Lindenhurst, NY, a sister, Gertrude Call of NY, nine grandchildren, Charles, Brian, Katrina, Andrew, Timothy, Rielle, Denise, David, Jennifer, eight great grandchildren, Connor, Riley Rose, Billy, Anabel, Kady, Siena, Jackson, and Lucy as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Golger. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours.
