Obituary of Francis J. Ward

Resident of Huntington Francis (Frank) J. Ward, age 89, of Huntington, died on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born on July 9, 1917 in the Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late William and Mary OBrien Ward. He was a retired employee of Dow Chemical with 38 years of service. An avid sportsman, he played softball and basketball for Dow Chemical and also enjoyed swimming and golfing. Frank was also an avid Yankees Fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was dedicated to the love and care of his family. Survivors include his beloved devoted wife of 28 years, E. Anne Tuzin Ward, a son, Paul Ward and his wife Gloria of Salem, MA, a daughter, Geraldine Langolis and her husband Gerald of Stratford. He is also survived by his extended family, Charles and Jean Revere of Huntington, George and Janet Revere of Stratford, John and Carol Revere of Seymour and Paul Revere of Cold Spring, TX, his first wife, Christina Carotenuto Ward, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
