Obituary of Elaine Cascella Warner

Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother Elaine Cascella Warner, age 61, of Oxford, passed away on Friday May 15, 2009 in Branford while in hospice care after succumbing to an incurable form of liver cancer. Born in Bridgeport, CT, Elaine remained a lifelong Connecticut resident living in Trumbull, Monroe and most recently in Oxford. She was a daughter of the late Pasquale Patsy and Josephine DeBone Cascella. She is survived by her devoted husband of 13 years, Kevin Warner, two loving children, Carly Wiesniak of Seymour and Ryan Spain of West Haven, two granddaughters, Grace Erodici and Mackenzie Lucas, both of Seymour, a brother Douglas Cascella of Trumbull, a sister Patricia Calabrese of Stratford, nieces, Lauren and Christina Calabrese of Stratford and a stepson Ryan Warner of Weston. After working at Perkin Elmer for many years, Elaine left her career to focus on family but eventually went back to further her education and received her teaching degree at Housatonic Community College. Upon graduating, Elaine dedicated over ten years of her life to caring for and teaching children at Long Hill Nursery School in Trumbull. Leaving her career in the classroom, Elaine went on to pursue another passion, working in a hair salon, at Creative Company Salon and Spa, Fairfield. She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts! Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Black Rock Congregational Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike Fairfield. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elaine Warner Trust to benefit her grandchildren through the funeral director.
