Obituary of Erin E. Whitmeyer

Devoted and Loving Mother

Erin Elizabeth Loughrey Whitmeyer, age 42, of Trumbull, beloved wife of John S. Whitmeyer, died suddenly on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on October 31, 1967, she was a daughter of George and Barbara Fox Loughrey of Shelton. A graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 1985, she received a B.S. in Marketing from Southern Connecticut State University in 1989. She was a personal banker for Citibank. Erin will always be remembered for her love of life and her full commitment to everything she touched. She gave her all to the friends and family she held so dearly in her heart. A devoted and loving mother, she was very active in her childrens lives and their activities at school.

In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include her cherished children, Brittany Jean, Kylie Erin and John Thomas, a sister Shannon Kelley and her husband Pat of Seymour and a brother John Fox Loughrey and his wife Catherine of Shelton. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John S. Whitmeyer through the funeral home for an education fund to be established for the benefit of the children. Please make checks payable to John S. Whitmeyer.
