Obituary of James John Capinera

James John Capinera Jr., age 68, of Shelton, loving husband of Ethel Wilson Capinera, died peacefully on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on August 3, 1945, he was the son of James Sr. and Mary Margaret DOnofrio Capinera. A U.S. Army veteran, James was in the first graduating class and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Sacred Heart University. He was a retired administrative clerk for the U.S. Army Reserves and was very proud to support his fellow veterans in any capacity. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. But above all he treasured the time he spent with his grandsons. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who always put the needs of his family first. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 44 years, Ethel, survivors include four loving children, Angela M. Capinera and her husband Daniel Ruskin of Stratford, Julianna C. Capinera of Shelton, James Michael Capinera and his fiance Tracy Carr of West Hartford and Anthony Roger Capinera of Shelton, two cherished grandsons, Darren and Adam Ruskin; as well as many cousins and dear friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
