Obituary of Elizabeth Vida Capra

Devoted Mother and Wife Elizabeth Beth Vida Capra, age 50, loving wife of Anthony Capra, died on Christmas morning, December 25, 2011 after a brief but strong battle with cancer. Born July 26, 1961, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Preg Vida and the recently deceased Vincent Vida. Beth was born and raised in Stratford, CT. She was a member of St. James Parish in Stratford, and attended St. James School, as well. In 1979, Beth graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull, CT. She then went on to complete her Bachelors Degree in Business from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Beth is survived by her husband of 24 years, Anthony, son Andrew Capra, and daughter Allison Capra of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by her sister Judy Vida Burke and husband James Burke of Westport, CT, as well as her many adoring nieces and nephews. In 1989, Beth and Anthony settled in Trumbull, where she was a member of St. Theresas Parish. Beth and her family later moved to Orlando, FL in 2005, where her family currently resides. She and her family are active members of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Orlando. Throughout her career, Beth held marketing positions at Vestron Video and Carol Wright Industries in Stamford, CT. She was also a sensory product testing consultant at Cadbury Schweppes in Trumbull, CT. Her most current position was as a billing and coding assistant at Orlando Heart Specialists in Altamonte Springs, FL. Beth was a selfless and devoted mother to her children, Andrew and Allison, and was incredibly supportive of their endeavors and aspirations. Her interests included cooking and providing a happy home for the cats she rescued over the years. Beth was adept at and took great pride in decorating her home, especially for the holidays. She will always be famously remembered for the festive Christmas Eve celebrations at her home. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in St. Isaac Jogues Church, 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail, Orlando.
