Obituary of Thomas J. Andrea

Resident of Trumbull Thomas J. Andrea, Jr., age 77, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Angeloni Andrea, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at his residence. Born in Bridgeport on June 4, 1932, he was a son of the late Thomas J. Andrea Sr. and Antoinette Perillie Andrea. A Trumbull resident for most of his life, he served in the U. S. Navy as a signal man on the U.S.S. Larsen during the Korean War. Mr. Andrea retired from Pepsico-Frito Lay as a route salesman and previously owned and operated a Stella Doro route. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and cherished the years he was involved in Trumbull Little League and Babe Ruth. Mr. Andrea was also an active member of the V. F. W. Post #9460 in Stratford. In addition to his wife, he was pre-deceased by siblings, Mary Cavalieri and her husband John, Catherine Twigg and her husband Lynn, Benedetto Andrea, Sr., and Dolores Costanza and her husband Joseph. He is survived by two sisters, Rita Godfrey of Florida and Rose Twigg of Waterbury, a brother Richard N. Andrea and his wife Helen of Ansonia, three sons, Thomas J. Andrea III and his wife Laurie of Naples, FL, Keith Francis Andrea of East Haven, and Robert Edward Andrea and his wife Tracey of East Haven as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandfather of Thomas Anthony, Jack Joseph, Larissa Renae and Brianna Nicole. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
