Obituary of Edith Comparato

Resident of Bridgeport Edith Capozzi Comparato, age 91, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of Dictaphone, died on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 9, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Rocco and Theresa Marconi Capozzi. She was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas Comparato, two brothers, Nicholas and Anthony Capozzi and two sisters Margaret Vernuccio and Mary Ianiello. Survivors include her brother Daniel Capozzi and his wife Evelyn of Bridgeport, a daughter Rosanne Gallant and her husband Skip of Fairfield, a son Vincent Comparato and his wife Denise of North Carolina, six grandchildren, Nicole Johnson and her husband Leonard, Danielle Gallant-Gonzalez and her husband Jason, Darrell Gallant, Gabrielle Gallant, James Comparato and Helena Mabey and her husband Steven Klocek, three great grandchildren Abigail Johnson, Tara Hagen and Haik Dabaghyan as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
