Obituary of Cora P. Costanza
Cora Patricia Jamieson Costanza, age 90, formerly of Bridgeport and Trumbull passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph M. Costanza. Born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada on January 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late David Jamieson and Agnes Helferty Jamieson. Cora was a bookkeeper for the Trumbull Plumbing and Heating Association for nearly 35 years before her retirement. Prior to that, she had worked for both the Parliament Hill and Bank of Canada in the Foreign Exchange. A long time parishioner of St. Theresa Church, and a volunteer for the FISH Program, she also served as a doscent for the Trumbull Historical Society. Survivors include her son, Ralph Costanza and his wife Trisha Powsner of Colchester, VT and their daughter Catherine (Katie) Costanza; her daughter, Dorothy Mitchell and her husband Kim of Oxford and Dorothys children, Sgt. David Guard USMC, Alyssa Guard and Christopher Guard. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Patrick and Albert Jamieson and her sisters, Josephine Wilke, Roseline Story, and Nellie Lehr. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 9:30 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, and at 10:30 am at St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Donations Information
