Obituary of Evelyn Czyrnik

Evelyn Miklus Czyrnik, age 80, of Trumbull, beloved wife of William Czyrnik, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Born on June 1, 1933 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Paul and Anna Miklus, Evelyn was raised and educated in Bridgeport and graduated from St. John's School and Sacred Heart University. She worked in the area for many years and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Trumbull. A committed and caring wife, mother and grandmother, she particularly enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. In addition to William, her devoted husband of 57 years, survivors include: two loving daughters, Kathy Czyrnik of Simsbury, CT and Nancy von York of Limerick, ME, and their respective husbands, David and George; her brother, Michael Miklus of Bridgeport; her sister, Pauline Mayernick of Stratford; six grandchildren, Rebecca Czyrnik, Joshua Horowitz, Benjamin Horowitz, Alex von York, Andrew von York and Elizabeth von York; and a great many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her brother, Paul Miklus and her sister Mary Zenko. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 12:00 noon in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
