Obituary of William Daly

August 05, 2013 William Daly, age 75, of Florida, passed away on August 5, 2013 surrounded by his loving children, Sharon and James. He was the son of the late William P. and Elizabeth Daly and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, CT. A graduate of Central H.S. in Bridgeport, Bill went on to join the U.S. Army and was a proud Veteran. He was employed at Sikorsky and later worked as a news reporter and assistant sports editor at WNAB radio station where he was known as Scoop. Bill later moved to Stratford and was a letter carrier with the U.S. Post Office with many years of dedicated service. He spent his retirement in Florida and was passionate about baseball, especially his favorite team, "The Tampa Bay Rays". Survivors include his beloved children, Sharon Daly and James Daly, his former wife, Ellen Hilton and extended family. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Arsenault and Dorothy Hough. Funeral Information Friends may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull followed by Interment with full military honors in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
