Obituary of William J. DeFusco

November 27, 2005 U. S. Navy Veteran William J. DeFusco, age 76, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Mary Ann DeFusco, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005. Born in Lawrence, Mass., he was the son of Leopoldo and Maria Concetta (LaVecchia) DeFusco. He was a U. S. Navy lieutenant during the Korean War, and worked for General Electric as a manager in wire and cable. Before retiring in 1996, he was a member of the defense contract management command for the U.S. Defense Department at Textron-Lycoming. Bill was a man of quiet warmth, strength and compassion, exhibited in every facet of his life. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by his beloved family, sons Leopold and his wife Jacqueline, William and his wife Anne, and David and his fiance, Holly, grandchildren Domenic, Kathryn, Anna, Audrey, Leah, William and Joseph, sisters Rose Cavallaro of Houston, TX and Mary Alderman of Columbus, OH, sister-in-law Rita DeFusco of Lawrence, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Palma Lyons, Anna Woidyla and Dora Milauskas, and brothers Alfred and Ernest. The DeFusco Family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care given by St. Vincents Medical Center and St. Josephs Manor, and the love and support received from Rev. Bernard Dolan, Rev. Lawrence Carew and the entire Christ the King parish community. Funeral Information Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
