Obituary of James J. DeMeglio

James J. DeMeglio, age 84, of Trumbull, loving husband of Antonietta Buonerba DeMeglio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2011. Born in Norwalk on December 31, 1926, he was a son of the late Thomas and Immaculata DiMassa DeMeglio. Mr. DeMeglio was a former accountant for Nash engineering before his retirement and enjoyed gardening. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was always dedicated to the love and care of his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Antonietta, survivors include a son, Thomas V. DeMeglio of Newtown, two devoted daughters, Mary Silva and her husband Michael of Trumbull and Elisa DeMeglio and her husband Jim McDonald of Brookfield, six cherished grandchildren, Courtney and Zachary DeMeglio, Madison and Jack Silva and Lucy and Stella McDonald; two sisters Frances DiMassa and Anna Massaro and her husband Joseph all of Norwalk as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Nicholas J. DeMeglio. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday April 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
