Obituary of George J. DiPasquale

George J. DiPasquale, Sr., age 95, formerly of Trumbull, peacefully passed on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Lord Chamberlain surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Grace Cocca DiPasquale. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late John and Carmella DiPasquale and a resident of Trumbull for over 60 years. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended the Traphagan School of Fashion Design in New York City. There he learned his trade as a designer, pattern maker and cutter and worked for over 40 years at the Parisian Garment Company in Bridgeport. He continued on to work at other clothing manufacturers. George took pride in his yard and loved when it was time to plant all his flowers. He continued to mow his lawn until the age of 92. He was a surprisingly good cook who made delicious sauce and pizzas. But most importantly, George loved spending time with his family and was always there for his grandchildrens events. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army Air Force and was stationed at Tinker Field in Oklahoma. He will be deeply missed by his son, George J. DiPasquale, Jr. and his wife Robin, his daughter, Debbie Gallo and her husband Chris, all of Shelton, his loving grandchildren, Jennifer Gallo-McPhatter and her husband Jeffrey, Christopher Gallo, and Jessica Gallo, his sister-in-law Jean Kerekes and her husband Frank and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Rose Casillo and Jennie DiPasquale and brothers, Samuel and Joseph DiPasquale. The family would like to thank the third floor nursing and CNA staff at Lord Chamberlain for their compassionate care. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
