Dominic DiSario

Obituary of Dominic J. DiSario

Dominic Joseph DiSario, age 72, of Shelton, CT, entered peacefully into eternal rest on January 22, 2014 after a brief illness with his devoted family by his side. Dominic was the beloved husband of 47 years to Jeannine DiSario. Born in the Bronx, NY on October 10, 1941, Dom and Jeannine moved to CT in 1971 to raise their family. He will always be remembered for his steadfast loyalty to his family and friends. His kindness, humility, selflessness and generosity of spirit were only some of the gifts he bestowed on the many lives he touched. Family is what mattered most to Dominic. His attention to his wife, children and grandchildren will forever be missed. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need and will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have known him. His passion for politics and creating his own architectural designs for various home projects kept him busy after his retirement from the corporate world. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine, daughters and sons-in-law, Claudine and Gerald Steele, Carla and John Regina; son, Paul DiSario and four grandchildren whom he adored: Ashley, Amanda and Adriana Regina and Bradley Steele; a brother, Peter (Susan) DiSario. He was pre-deceased by his father, Dominic Joseph DiSario, Sr. and mother, Frances Caputo DiSario and sister, Dolores Lalino. The family would like to acknowledge sincere thanks and gratitude to the nurses of the Normal Pfriem Cancer Center at Bridgeport Hospital. These caring angels were so attentive and compassionate in caring for Dominic. A special thanks to Kathy Krom of Vitas Hospice Care. Kathy was so instrumental and caring in helping the family cope with Dominics illness and death.
