Obituary of Matilde Guccione

Matilde Livia Guccione, age 75, beloved wife of Vincent Guccione of Stratford, died on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care, Stratford. Born in Modica, Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Pietro and Georgina Cappello Livia and was a longtime resident of Stratford. Mrs. Guccione was a seamstress at the former Norman Dress Company for many years before her retirement. In addition to her husband Vincent of 50 years, survivors include a sister, Maria Staltaro and her husband Patsy of Stratford, and a brother, Victor Livia and his wife Thania of Miami, FL as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Livia. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
