Obituary of John A. Anastas

John A. Anastas, age 68, loving husband to Marietta Albonizio Stone Anastas, of Trumbull, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 31, 1946, he was the son of Frances Leclerc Anastas of Fairfield and the late Lewis J. Anastas. John spent over 40 years of his working life selling and designing in the packaging industry. John lived his life loving the salt water with fishing and boating and cooking gourmet meals for his family and friends. He spent his life sharing laughter through jokes and storytelling. In addition to his wife Marietta of 10 years, survivors include his five daughters; Nicole Anastas, Christina Lynch, Tracy Anastas, Kimberley (Sebastian) Ganly and Lisa Anastas, a stepson; Robert A. Stone III and his four cherished grandchildren, who called him Pappouli, Liam and Talia Lynch, Emma Ganly and Grant Hammesfahr. He also leaves a sister; Diane Ginty, an uncle; John (Harriet) Anastas as well as many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by an Uncle; Frank Anastas. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
