Obituary of Ruth E. Kozemchak

Ruth E. Lawlor Kozemchak, age 90, loving wife of the late Michael Kozemchak, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Ludlowe Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fairfield, after a long and wonderful life. She was born July 2, 1924 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Lawlor. Ruth married Michael Kozemchak on May 10, 1947 and truly loved and fully enjoyed life. She devoted her time to her home, family and tending to her flower gardens. She loved entertaining, especially at the holiday's, when her family would gather for celebrations. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Lawlor McPhail. Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Romano and her husband John of Monroe and Linda Vagvolgyi and her husband Elmer of Milford; her beloved grandchildren, Mark Vagvolgyi of Boston, MA, Matthew Vagvolgyi and his wife Christina of Dobbs Ferry, NY, Lisa Parr and her husband Gary of West Kingston, Rhode Island and Holly Romano Shicko and her husband Walter of Fairfield, two cherished great grandchildren, Aubrey and Chase Parr; her cousin and loyal friend, Shirley Taylor of Shelton, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
