Obituary of Palmira Marini

Palmira Scaccia Marini, age 99, of Trumbull and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Center, with her family by her side. Born in Frosinone, Italy on July 27, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Rosa Rai Scaccia.

She was an avid gardener, and giving person who always did for others. But above all she was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. Palmira will truly be missed.

Survivors include a son, Frank A. Marini of Bridgeport, a daughter, Antoinette Mizzoni and her husband Alex of Trumbull, a sister, Ida Tallino of Italy, two grandchildren, Michael and Vincent Mizzoni of Trumbull, a great granddaughter, Frances Stacy and her husband, Jean Tom and their children, Brandon, Ryan, Jaden and Tyler of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was pre-deceased by three brothers.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
