Obituary of Peter Gulden

Peter Gulden, age 79, of Shelton and formerly of Trumbull passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Duren, Germany on November 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Johann Adam and Petronella Kurth Gulden. Peter was employed by Heim Rockwell International of Fairfield, where he worked as a general foreman before his retirement in 1987 with many years of dedicated service. He had a love for birds, raising pigeons and canaries. While in Germany, along with his brother, the pigeons he raised were entered into races. While living in Connecticut he continued his passion by raising canaries and in his spare time he enjoyed going fishing with his daughters. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 58 years, Hedwig, other survivors include his daughters, Renate Cerulo and her husband Michael of Trumbull and Ingrid Brown and her husband Larry of Palm City, FL, his two grandchildren, Cristina Tenney and her husband Matthew, and Janeen Atkins and her husband Bryant, and two great grandchildren, Ava Grace Tenney and Anthony Michael Atkins all of Shelton, a brother Willie and sister Elizabeth, both of Duren Germany. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may call at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull.
