Obituary of Debra J. Ruggio

Debra J. Polchies Ruggio, age 58, of Bridgeport passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of John Ruggio. Born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1956, she was a daughter of Charles Polchies of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada and the late Rita Quigley Polchies. Debra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose life centered around her family and taking care of them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her father and beloved husband of 35 years, John, other survivors include her beloved children, Nicole Teixeira and her husband Orion of Bridgeport and Eric Lavoie and his wife Jennifer of Torrington, four cherished grandchildren, Katie, Orion Jr., Brooklyn and Eric Jr., two great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Noah, three sisters, Diane Scott and her husband Geoffrey of Trumbull, Colleen Sonnenfeld and her husband Otto of South Paris, ME and Sheila Rupprecht of Ridgway, PA. Debra is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Donna DaEira. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family also on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
